HOUSE FOUNDATIONS
We need to see a copy of your blueprints in order to bid a foundation slab, please give us a call and schedule an appointment.
CONCRETE SLABS
5" Concrete Slab using 3000 psi. concrete - A 5" slab is standard because it adds 25% more strength compared to a 4" while
only costing $0.25 more per square foot. If a stronger slab is needed, we also offer 6" slabs, add $0.25 per square foot..
If a 4" slab is all you need we can do that as well, you will save $0.25 per square foot.
24" Perimeter and cross beams - 24" beams are standard on all of our slabs, if there is more than a 18" drop on
your slab, a deeper beam will be required because we always dig at least 6" down into undisturbed ground for
better support.
5/8" Grade 60 rebar in beams - We use 4 rebars 5/8" thick in every beam for maximum support in our standard
concrete slabs, if more strength is desired, we offer or 3/4" rebar as well.
3/8" Grade 60 rebar on mat on 12" centers - On our top mat we use 3/8" rebar on 12" centers which creates
a very strong concrete slab, if more strength is required, we offer 1/2" rebar as well.
3/8" Stirrups on 24 " centers - Our stirrups are placed on 24 " centers for maximum support.
5/8" Corner bars - We use 5/8" x 24" corner bars to tie all the beams together, this creates a very strong bond between
beams.
Plastering - We plaster our concrete slabs if they are more than 12" off the ground, giving it a smoother, cleaner look.
CONCRETE DRIVEWAYS AND SIDEWALKS
4" Slab using 3000 psi. concrete - A 4" concrete slab is standard because it is strong enough for most applications while3/8" Rebar - 3/8" rebar on 16" centers is standard on all concrete driveways and sidewalks, 6 gauge wire mesh may be used
(depending on traffic load) if a more economical concrete driveway is desired.
8" perimeter turndown beams - We use 8" perimeter turndown beams in all of our driveways and sidewalks,
this adds strength while also ensuring that fill dirt is not washed away during heavy rains.
